About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at the Midis Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and planning electrical systems, including LV and MV power, as well as configuring solutions to meet client requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Design, configure, and customize electrical systems for clients based on their specifications and validated by internal and external stakeholders;
  2. Collaborate with contractors to design new products/processes and improve/maintain existing ones;
  3. Review and modify shop drawings prepared by subcontractors;
  4. Prepare shop drawings for small projects as needed;
  5. Verify all electrical calculations (discrimination study, short circuit, lux calculation, etc.) to ensure accuracy;
  6. Conduct gap analysis for technical issues, such as interfaces to other systems and new applications/modules, recommending enhancements and resolving complaints and inquiries;
  7. Highlight inconsistencies through the implementation of different solutions and ensure company methodologies are well maintained;
  8. Perform upgrades exercises and implementations using best practices and design documentation;
  9. Conduct User Acceptance Tests with clients to guarantee successful project delivery;
  10. Ensure electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned according to current industry and company standards, as well as client requirements;
  11. Create systems testing and commissioning reports;
  12. Support pre-sales activities, including presentations, demos, proposals, and scoping;
  13. Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers/suppliers.

Key Qualifications

  1. Strong technical skills, including knowledge of electrical-related software;
  2. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest products/technologies;
  3. Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality;
  4. Good understanding of international and local codes;
  5. A background in site work is preferred;
  6. Extensive experience in conducting value engineering for electrical designs;
  7. Data center experience is a plus.

  • At least 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in designing blueprints and reviewing designs; Must have experience in Generators, UPS, LV Systems, Short Circuit, Voltage drop calculations; MEP Data Centre experience is a plus.
