Job Description

Job Title: Engineering Interface Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Interface Engineer to join our team at Asterix Communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the design correctness and completeness of engineering projects, as well as managing the provision of engineering and design information to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Management: Monitor the performance of design consultants to ensure design correctness and completeness, and compliance with scope of work requirements.
  2. Project Coordination: Manage the provision of engineering and design information in a timely manner between parties, and identify the need for and ensure appropriate reviews and audits are implemented to support assurance of interface management performance.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Evaluate and endorse variation orders/concession requests submitted by design consultants for client approval, and attend all meetings with design consultants, their sub-consultants, and client meetings.
  4. Design Strategy: Review project design strategy and make recommendations to the client, and proactively support weekly and monthly interface management meetings as required to close outstanding interface issues.
  5. Pre-Qualification: Assist in preparing a questionnaire for the pre-qualification of design consultants and building contractors, and assist in carrying out the pre-qualification and recommending a list of bidders.
  6. Document Management: Monitor and ensure timely submittals of all documents from design consultants to all government departments until obtaining the final permits necessary to proceed with the works until final completion.
  7. Technical Support: Coordinate with the regional/home office to obtain the required technical support to ensure correctness and completeness of the design.
  8. Quality and Compliance: Inform themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures within Hill International and ensure continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor / Master of engineering or from an accredited university.
  2. Experience: Minimum 10 years experience after graduation.
  3. Design Experience: Minimum of 5 years of design experience related to water and wastewater projects.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Experience in stakeholder management and coordination.
  5. Tender Document Preparation: Experience in tender document preparation and reviews.
  6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
