About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Nurse for our Cardiac Care Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care with critical cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of nurses and work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide specialized care in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Recruit, hire, and train nursing staff with specialized skills in cardiac critical care.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to staff based on their qualifications and experience.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
- Address staffing shortages and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Ensure that patients receive timely, appropriate, and compassionate care.
- Supervise the nursing staff in providing complex interventions, such as mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication administration.
- Coordinate patient care plans and collaborate with physicians and other specialists.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the CCU.
- Manage the CCU budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Oversee the maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate with other departments within the healthcare facility to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and implement quality initiatives.
- Analyze patient satisfaction data and address any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the nursing staff.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
- Represent the CCU in meetings and committees.
