Marine Safety Officer Role

Matchtech is seeking a dedicated Marine Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance across operations, contributing to the continued success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough ship surveys to ensure adherence to safety regulations, including ISO and OHSAS standards.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.
  • Provide expert safety-related training and support to the crew and operational staff, ensuring they are equipped to manage risks effectively.

Requirements:

  • Deck Officer of the Watch (or higher) Certificate of Competency, with a strong track record of safety management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent speaking and writing skills.
