Matchtech is seeking a dedicated Marine Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance across operations, contributing to the continued success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough ship surveys to ensure adherence to safety regulations, including ISO and OHSAS standards.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.
- Provide expert safety-related training and support to the crew and operational staff, ensuring they are equipped to manage risks effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and documentation, ensuring seamless compliance and audit readiness.
- Proven experience working with a towing or offshore services provider, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and standards.
- Deck Officer of the Watch (or higher) Certificate of Competency, with a strong track record of safety management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Fluent in English, with excellent speaking and writing skills.
