About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Integrity Specialist to join our team at WSP Global Inc. in Riyadh. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of structural elements on road, bridges, highway, and tunnel projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough inspections of structural components, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and tunnels, to assess quality, workmanship, and compliance with design and construction standards.
  2. Review construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand project requirements and identify critical inspection points.
  3. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved methods, materials, and procedures, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
  4. Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) and quality control tests on construction materials, including concrete, steel, and asphalt, to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
  5. Document inspection findings, observations, and test results in detailed reports, noting any deficiencies, deviations, or areas of concern, and liaise with project stakeholders to address issues promptly.
  6. Collaborate closely with project engineers, designers, contractors, and regulatory authorities to resolve technical queries, clarify requirements, and ensure project objectives are met.
  7. Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, offering solutions to complex structural challenges and promoting best practices in construction methodologies and techniques.
  8. Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify potential risks, hazards, and safety concerns, implementing measures to mitigate risks and enhance safety for workers and the public.
  9. Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to structural engineering and construction, incorporating relevant advancements into project strategies and methodologies.
  10. Uphold WSP's commitment to quality excellence, safety, and sustainability in all aspects of project execution.
Requirements
  1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; professional certifications or licenses in structural engineering are advantageous.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural inspection and quality control, with a focus on road, bridges, highway, and tunnel projects.
  3. Proven track record of working with top international construction consultants and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  4. Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, construction materials, and quality control procedures.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders and foster collaborative relationships.
  6. Proficiency in relevant software tools and platforms for inspection, documentation, and reporting.
