Responsibilities:

* Attend Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action promptly.
* Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements, and international best practices.
* Report any works carried out by contractors that are not in accordance with approved drawings and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
* Monitor the quality of irrigation works.
* Maintain records for daily activities on site, including progress photos, and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
* Prepare surveillance reports for deficiencies of work found at the site and nonconformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
* Check and ensure effective coordination between discipline-related works and all other disciplines.
* Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline-related issues on-site that may arise.
* Inspect site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed landscape works.
* Give practical advice on site conditions and execution matters.
* Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with approved methods and contract requirements.
* Maintain records of inspections and work executed.
* Assist in or measure work done when required.
* Observe site safety procedures.
* Assist in the preparation of \"as-built\" drawings.
* Assist with the inspection of completed works, prepare punch lists, and hand over to the operating authority.
* Check the elevations, setting out, and other survey work by the contractor to ensure accuracy.
* Advise the Resident Engineer and recommend actions concerning construction surveys.
* Maintain the construction surveys and quantity records as per the RE instructions.
* Perform the initial baseline and control surveys, including the establishment of benchmarks and recovery of any existing survey monuments to be removed at the start of the project as directed by the RE.

Requirements:

* Must have a Degree in Surveying Engineering with 5 plus years of related experience in direct landscape work.
* Should have good English communication skills.
