Job Overview
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the entire procurement process from requisition to vendor selection and contract award. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a strong understanding of procurement principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement plans to meet business needs, including defining procurement strategies and selecting suppliers.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance.
- Contract Administration: Administer contracts, including ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and resolving disputes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving procurement processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Recommended Qualifications and Years of Experience:
- Associate: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field with 4-7 years of experience, or Master's degree with 2-5 years of experience.
- Proven track record of implementing full procurement cycle and diverse/complex purchasing processes is required. Professional certification such as CSCP is highly preferable.
