Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chief Accountant to join our team at Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of the Finance Department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a smooth operation by preparing financial reports and conducting internal controls.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Verify the General Cashier's report, Income journal voucher, and review supplier invoices, as well as general ledger coding of expenses.
  2. Supplier Payments and Reconciliation: Verify supplier payments with supporting invoices, LPOs, etc., and expense reimbursement with supporting documents.
  3. Payroll Review and Reconciliation: Review payroll reports with supporting documents at the month end.
  4. General Ledger Reconciliation and Contract Renewals: Prepare general ledger reconciliation and follow up for the renewals of contracts expiring.
  5. Journal Voucher Entries and Adjustments: Prepare, post, and update standard journal vouchers and adjustment journal voucher entries at the month end.
  6. Expense Analysis and Variance Investigation: Review general ledger at month end and analyze expenses and major variations from the budget.
  7. Team Support and Deadline Management: Ensure that all accounting reports and job deadlines for other employees are met.
Requirements
  • A degree in hotel management or accounting.
  • At least two years of previous experience within a hotel environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System is an asset.
