Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Depreciation Analyst to join our team. As a Depreciation Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on the depreciation of company assets. Your role will involve developing and implementing asset management strategies to optimize the lifecycle of assets, minimize costs, and maximize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize the lifecycle of assets, minimize costs, and maximize efficiency.
  2. Analyze and report on the depreciation of company assets, including calculation of depreciation expenses and preparation of depreciation schedules.
  3. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper asset capitalization and depreciation in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures for asset management, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Analysis and Planning:
  1. Analyze asset-related data to support decision-making processes, including budgeting and forecasting related to fixed assets.
  2. Provide regular and ad-hoc reports on asset status and performance to stakeholders.
  3. Identify underperforming assets and recommend alternatives for disposal or renewal.
Expected Skills and Qualifications:

Specific learned abilities or technical skills:

  1. Experience with fixed asset software and ERP systems, including implementation and maintenance.
  2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulations.
  3. Proficiency in asset management software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data sets and provide recommendations.
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Minimum Education and Specific Qualification:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum years experience required:
  1. 10+ years of experience in fixed asset management, accounting, or a related field.
