Job Overview

This Cloud & DevOps Engineering Manager role leads the development, reliability, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and production operations. This position requires a strategic and hands-on approach, blending DevOps, SRE, and Cloud responsibilities to ensure our platform's security, reliability, and readiness for rapid scaling.

As we prepare for our next stage of growth, this role is crucial in shaping Lucidya's technical strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership to scale the team rapidly and evolve the organization towards industry-standard engineering practices.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and manage secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Oversee Linux-based systems and ensure system availability, uptime, and performance.
  • Maintain and evolve Infrastructure-as-Code practices using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Own disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning.
  • Monitor and respond to incidents, drive incident resolution, and implement preventive measures.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in cloud engineering, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role (e.g., Cloud Manager, DevOps Manager, or SRE Manager).
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and scaling cloud infrastructure and services, particularly with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based environments, infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation), and CI/CD automation.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration in production.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security principles, networking, and best practices for building secure, compliant cloud environments.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining international compliance standards such as ISO27001, SOC2, or similar.
  • Proven track record of leading cloud migration projects, optimizing cloud spend, and improving platform scalability and reliability.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with modern observability and monitoring stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and incident management practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage, mentor, and grow technical teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and align engineering efforts with business goals.
