Job Title: Safety Officer
Job Summary:
Merge Recruitment Agency is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, clients, and contractors on our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation of our Safety/Loss Prevention Program to meet client expectations.
- Maintain an administrative system for recording safety performance and monitoring activities related to the Safety/Loss Prevention Programs.
- Collaborate with the Project Management Department and Client's Loss Prevention Division to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Assess potential hazards associated with project activities and recommend remedial measures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of company activities, monitor the implementation of recommendations, and communicate with employees on safety matters.
- Ensure the provision and maintenance of safety, firefighting, and protective equipment.
- Act as Project Emergency Coordinator and ensure adequate fire protection measures are in place.
- Investigate and prepare detailed reports on personal injury, fires, property damage, and near-miss incidents.
- Advise construction groups on client safety requirements and set a personal example on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Ensure that all safety programs are approved by clients and that no shortcuts are adopted in violation of client safety standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Certification in Nebosh-Osha.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction projects, preferably in EPC Contracting for substation construction projects.
- Excellent communication skills and very good English command.
