Cybersecurity Operations Specialist

The Senior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the development of cybersecurity operations activities by monitoring, testing, identifying, and dealing with cybersecurity threats and incidents to protect against cyber-attacks or threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, practices, cost optimization, and productivity & efficiency improvement.
  2. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within relevant functions such as (HC, HSSE, Risk, Cybersecurity, etc.).
  3. Escalate problems to ensure cases/issues are closed efficiently and in a timely manner.
  4. Assess and develop the effectiveness of cybersecurity enhancement capabilities.
  5. Identify technical vulnerabilities that may lead to a cyber breach based on simulated cyber-attack results, and remediate vulnerabilities on running systems, networks, and applications.
  6. Develop penetration tests and vulnerability assessments of systems and networks periodically to validate resilience and identify weak areas, providing recommendations on actions to be taken.
  7. Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and information, in line with policies & procedures, and relevant regulations and legislation.
  8. Apply a cybersecurity incident response program as a plan of action developed based on anticipated risks and thorough post-event analysis.
  9. Develop the identification and detection of cybersecurity events and threats in a timely manner and deal with them effectively to prevent or reduce negative impacts.
  10. Collect, analyze, and monitor cybersecurity events to detect early, aiming to prevent or minimize their negative impacts.
  11. Perform day-to-day cybersecurity operations on systems and ensure they are performing in accordance with standards, procedures, and best practices.
  12. Implement cybersecurity vendor assessment across projects.
  13. Implement cybersecurity operation requirements and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and legislation.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
