Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Da Home Care. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures utilizing magnetic resonance scanners.
Key Responsibilities- Review exam orders and protocols, and prepare for exams as needed.
- Explain procedures to patients and prepare equipment, supplies, contrast media, and medications.
- Adjust and operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to scan designated anatomical areas.
- Assist in the injection of contrast media and monitor patient condition during and after scans.
- Retrieve information from the computer and process it for interpretation by radiologists and/or archiving.
- Evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness, and document all studies performed.
- Record all required information, label films in sequence, and note all pertinent data required by radiologists for medical diagnosis.
- Consult with radiologists as needed and participate in staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education.
- Assist in the training and supervision of students, interns, and trainees.
- Comply with section policies, procedures, and protocols, and follow the section quality improvement program.
- Apply the ALARA principle in all procedures.
- Bachelor's or graduate degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, or successful completion of specialized training at KFSH in Radiological Sciences/Technology.
- Two years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or four years of related experience with a training program.
- Four years of experience as an MRI Technologist at KFSH&RC, or related experience, with an average annual performance appraisal of at least 3.5 for the last four years, and 50 hours of cumulative continued medical education.
- Current registration from the country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS), and registration in Radiography with American Registry of Radiographic Technologists, the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists, or equivalent.
