Job Description

The primary role of this position involves supporting our Cell Biology/Histology section by preparing, cutting, and staining tissue samples for microscopic examination.

Responsibilities
  1. Tissue Preparation: Process tissue samples using various techniques.
  2. Research Collaboration: Work closely with faculty members on cell biology research projects.
  3. Lab Maintenance: Maintain the histology lab, ensuring all materials and equipment are organized and in good working condition.
  4. Slide Storage: Store and maintain histology slides in boxes for regular use.
  5. Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect and maintain microscopes and other laboratory equipment.
  6. Gross Anatomy Support: Provide assistance in the gross anatomy lab as needed.
  7. OSPE Organization: Organize Objective Structured Practical Examinations (OSPE) for each block.
  8. Student Monitoring: Monitor student attendance during labs and practical sessions.
Requirements
  • Experience in histology and proficiency in laboratory procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
