Your New Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Road Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in road engineering, with a proven track record in site supervision within the construction consultancy sector. As a Senior Road Engineer at WSP, you will lead and oversee the successful delivery of road infrastructure projects, leveraging your technical expertise and project management skills to drive excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and development of road infrastructure projects, including alignment studies, geometric design, pavement design, and drainage design, in accordance with client requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments, traffic impact analyses, and risk assessments to inform design decisions and optimize project outcomes.

Project Management and Delivery:

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, tracking progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of road projects.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes that meet or exceed client expectations.

Traffic Management and Safety:

  • Develop and implement traffic management plans and safety measures to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety of road users, construction workers, and the public.
  • Monitor traffic flow, signage, and temporary diversions, and proactively address any issues or concerns to maintain smooth and safe operation of roadways during construction.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and communities to understand their needs, concerns, and expectations related to road infrastructure projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, providing regular updates, progress reports, and technical presentations to ensure transparency and alignment.
