About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Expert to join our team as a Liver Transplant Surgeon at one of the top-tier hospitals in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Job Description

  • Provide high-quality surgical care to patients with liver transplant needs.
  • Offer consultative services as requested by patients and medical professionals.
  • Supervise fellows, staff, assistant physicians, and residents in the department.
  • Participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in transplantation surgery and participate in research activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform special procedures as privileged and follow hospital policies and procedures.
  • Undertake other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate from a reputable medical school.
  • Completion of required training in General Surgery and subspecialty of Transplantation surgery.
  • Saudi Arabian or American/European Board Certification or equivalent.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent, fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
  • A recognized certificate by the Saudi Commission is mandatory.
  • Dataflow certification is also necessary.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3-4 years post Board/Fellowship in General Surgery.
  • 2 years clinical fellowship in transplantation surgery.
  • Registered member of the Saudi Board Council.

Language

  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.

References

  • Positive professional references attesting to the candidate's skills and ethical conduct.
