Job Description

Eram Talent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are executed successfully within the allocated budget, timeline, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Manage or assist in managing key projects for the department in accordance with departmental procedures and project management systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical and project management support for the operation of the department's facilities.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with internal and external clients to define project parameters and deliverables, managing changes and variations as necessary.
  • Scope Development: Formulate and submit accurate and timely scope of work, project plans, internal approval documentation, and financial applications for designated projects. Track approvals progress to final sign-off.
  • Collaboration: Manage or collaborate with shared service teams on the Engineering, Procurement, and Contract stages of each project under your control.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that requisite licenses, permits, consents, and other legal agreements are obtained and maintained to meet ongoing development and changing needs of designated projects/sites.
  • Project Delivery: Manage or oversee the delivery of the site elements of projects under your control with internal shared services or the project team as required.
  • Progress Reporting: Accurately report on project progress and development, reporting variances and nonconformities as required to the client, technical or regulatory departments, or outside bodies, and provide solutions to secure delivery of approved project objectives.
  • Financial Management: Continuously monitor, manage, control, and report on project spend for designated projects/sites, ensuring it is within the agreed financial model and authorization limits.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure projects are undertaken in accordance with relevant HSE legislation and company standards.
  • Professional Advice: Provide professional technical advice to teams and the wider organization as necessary.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Remain aware of your responsibilities for your own Health and Safety, for the Health and Safety of those directly responsible to you, your work colleagues, and any others affected by operations under your responsibility or control. Ensure the correct PPE is worn at all times. Refer to the HSE Policy for details on your specific responsibilities.
  • Company Policies: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to those specified in the Employment Handbook, HSE Policy, incident reporting procedures, and any financial/accounting systems.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of five to seven years' experience in a project engineer or project management role within a relevant engineering / waste management discipline.
  • Track Record: Track record of delivery of projects to cost, quality and time parameters in waste management or related engineering field.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels including, clients, contractors, department heads and external regulatory bodies.
  • Project Engineering: Project engineering or management of Waste Management Facilities and associated technologies including landfill development, materials recycling facilities, anaerobic digestion, etc.
Desirable:
  • GCC Experience: Experience of working on projects in the GCC or similar.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g. civil, mechanical, chemical or electrical).
  • Safety Training: Recognised Safety Management Training.
  • Driving License: Full Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH Certificate: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Master's Degree: Relevant Master's degree.
  • Professional Membership: Professional membership of relevant Institute i.e. Saudi Council of Engineers, Professional Engineer (PE) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
