Job Description

The Vendor Relationship Manager will oversee and optimize vendor relationships and performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Vendor Relationship Development: Develops and maintains strong relationships with IT vendors, ensuring alignment on strategic objectives and performance metrics.
  2. Contract Negotiation and Optimization: Collaborates with procurement and legal teams to negotiate contracts that ensure favorable terms, commitment to quality and delivery, and compliance with local regulations.
  3. Value Creation and Risk Mitigation: Responsible for managing key vendor relationships, driving value creation, and mitigating risks associated with vendor partnerships to support the organization's objectives.
  4. Leadership and Innovation: Leads initiatives for vendor innovation and technology partnerships, exploring opportunities for new solutions and efficiency gains.
Requirements
  1. A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, procurement, or a related field is often required.
  2. Prefer candidates with a master's degree or MBA.
  3. Minimum of 9 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or contract management, with a proven track record in large-scale projects, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  4. Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with experience in managing complex vendor relationships.
  5. Knowledge of local and international vendor markets, especially within sectors including construction, entertainment, or tourism.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to vendor performance management.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  8. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
  9. Experience in developing and implementing vendor risk management frameworks and performance improvement plans.
