We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic HSE Director to lead our health, safety, and environmental strategies and programs across all our projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive HSE policies and procedures in line with local and international standards. This will involve leading a team of HSE professionals, working closely with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement HSE Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive HSE policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  2. Lead HSE Team: Manage a team of HSE professionals, providing guidance and support to project teams to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
  3. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Verify that all projects adhere to local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  4. Conduct Regular Inspections and Audits: Identify potential hazards and areas for improvement through regular inspections and audits.
  5. Investigate Incidents and Implement Corrective Actions: Oversee incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  6. Establish and Maintain Relationships: Foster relationships with regulatory authorities and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  7. Provide HSE Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver HSE training programs to ensure employees are aware of their responsibilities and roles in maintaining a safe work environment.
  8. Monitor and Report HSE Performance: Track and report on HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance overall performance.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience in a similar HSE leadership role, preferably in the construction or civil engineering industry.
  3. Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices, excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  4. Certifications: Professional certifications in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are preferred.
  5. Language Skills: Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
