Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Physician to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading by example.
About the Role
You will assist and support the Department Chairman in planning and executing the operation of the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient services and meeting patient care and personnel needs.
Maintain a high level of professional performance in accordance with professional medical ethics, hospital medical staff by-laws, and Ministry of Health regulations.
Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, provide effective leadership, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Liaise with Patient Relations Officers and supervisors on patient complaints, sick leave issuance, and medical report follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Attend to clinical patient care shift duties, adhering to hospital and departmental regulations, and utilizing personal I.D. stampers and electronic medical records applications.
Assist in designing, implementing, reviewing, and updating Policies & Procedures for the ED every 2 years.
Orient and keep yourself updated regarding hospital and department policies, procedures, standards, and rules.
Participate in the implementation of the ED Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), attending monthly meetings, departmental staff meetings, mortality and morbidity, and quality improvement.
Self-monitor, interpret, and report concerning statistics, productivity, utilization, and meeting established departmental indicators and standards.
Requirements
Medical Practitioner with Emergency Medicine/Critical Care/Internal Medicine/General Surgery Training/Experience.
Registration with the Saudi Council for Health Specialization (SCHS) and current license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia.
Pediatric Emergency Medicine experience and high standards of medical ethics.
Ability to proficiently achieve all procedures in the Medical Staff Patient Care Privileging Form.
