About the Role
Pinnacle Solutions, an Akima company, is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Test Pilot to join our team. As an Alaska Native Corporation, our mission extends beyond our federal projects to support our shareholder communities in Alaska.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform test flights to measure aircraft performance and handling after maintenance or modifications.
- Determine airworthiness of aircraft prior to release for flight, adhering to publications and procedures.
- Conduct troubleshooting procedures on the ground and during flight, documenting deficiencies and providing corrective instructions.
- Verify maintenance records and forms to ensure accuracy and compliance with work performed.
- Support contract requirements by deploying in-country for maintenance test flights, as needed.
- Interpret meteorological data to file flight plans and navigate courses for sorties.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintain accurate records, including weight and balance logs.
- Exercise autonomy in selecting methods and implementing goals within broad guidelines.
- Interface with project managers, technical leads, and quality control personnel to ensure seamless execution.
- Ensure flight safety, crew currency, and validate aircraft airworthiness.
Requirements
- 1,000 hours of pilot-in-command time, with at least 300 hours in the same aircraft type and design (CH-47F).
- Experience in CH-47 phase or RESET management.
- Graduate of a US Military aviation maintenance test pilot course or civilian equivalent training and experience.
- Demonstrated past performance and experience in maintenance on CH-47 Aircraft.
- Proficiency in computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft-related documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Possess a valid issued driver's license.
- Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
- Class II Flight Physical required.
- High school diploma.
- Graduate of US Military Maintenance Test Pilot course, meeting all AR 95-2 requirements.
- US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years' experience as an Aviation Maintenance Test Pilot, including GMTF, DARRT, and BDAR experience in an operational unit.
- 300 MTP hours in CH47F.
- Battalion Level Maintenance Officer experience (BAMO).
- Bachelor's degree or higher, or 10 years as an MTP is equivalent.
- US Military or civilian equivalent rotary-wing aviation Technical Inspector experience.

Travel Requirements
This position requires occasional travel, up to 25% of the time, to support contract requirements and maintenance test flights.
