Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist, Invasive to join our team at Da Home Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for observing, monitoring, and evaluating procedures and measurement techniques in the invasive cardiology lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and monitor catheterization procedures for normal and abnormal patterns, using knowledge to evaluate results and inform cardiologists of any ECG or pressure changes.
  • Make preliminary analysis and hemodynamic interpretation for cardiologists' further study and diagnosis.
  • Record all findings and incorporate them into patients' medical records and system databases.
  • Carry out catheterization procedures under the direction of cardiologists, assist with scrub duties, and position radiographic equipment correctly.
  • Analyze and assess temporary and permanent pacemaker leads and program pacemaker devices.
  • Ensure clinical equipment is safe and functional, perform routine equipment maintenance, and inform senior cardiovascular technologists of safety hazards or need for repair/maintenance.
  • Ensure adequate levels of supplies and materials for uninterrupted patient care, inform senior cardiovascular technologists of reduction in supply inventory or supply concerns.
  • Assist in the training, education, and supervision of students, fellows, and new staff members, and evaluate their performance.
  • Assist with emergency resuscitation measures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient, ensure patient safety, and attend to their needs and comfort in the cath lab.
  • Assist with research projects, program development, data collection, and other projects, participate in departmental quality control and quality improvement programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree/Diploma in health sciences and completion of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology registration or other related discipline is required.
  • Grade 08: Two (2) years of experience with Bachelor's or four (4) years with Associate Degree/Diploma including one (1) year experience in cardiac Cath lab is required.
  • Grade 09: Four (4) years as Cardiovascular Technologist, Invasive at KFSH&RC, average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years, and fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME] are required.
  • Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
  • Certificate in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is required.
