About This Opportunity

We're looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor (QS) with experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects to join our esteemed client's team. As a key member of their MEP division, you'll contribute to delivering high-quality projects while developing your expertise.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review BOQs based on project requirements.
  • Issue work certificates and verify subcontractor claims based on completed work.
  • Estimate costs and prepare detailed project budgets for MEP works.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate cost estimation.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor and control project costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Review and negotiate contract terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications for approval.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Prepare variation orders, claims, and cost impact reports.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10-12 years of experience in QS roles within MEP projects.
  • Previous experience working with contractors in Saudi Arabia is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and other relevant QS software.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP materials, cost estimation, and contract administration.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with Saudi construction regulations and industry standards.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as MRICS or PMP are a plus.
  • Strong experience in FIDIC contracts and cost control methodologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
