Gardener - Landscaping Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Gardener to join our team at Kempinski Hotels. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and integrity of our gardens and outdoor spaces.

• Train and instruct other members of the facilities team.
• Perform soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, bed preparation, and planting.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and basic light machinery.
• Use and maintain cylinder and rotary mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers, and other equipment.
• Adjust mower height and quality of cut, and perform oil level checks and damage inspections.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the engineering team.
• Ensure all equipment and machinery are stored securely and cleaned after use.
• Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns.
• Maintain gardens by naturally fertilizing, trimming, and ensuring plants receive adequate water.
• Prune trees and hedges to promote health, safety, and aesthetics.
• Maintain lawn and grass areas using machinery and natural fertilizers.
• Keep gardens, thoroughfares, and footpaths clear and free from litter.
• Perform outside maintenance, including pathway, pond, step, and wall upkeep.
• Tidy up and clean the exterior of the hotel building.
• Keep the tool shed/store room clean and organized.

• Good knowledge of plants and ability to follow schedules.
• Ability to work in a multinational environment with excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Computer literacy adapted to the field of training, including software office (word, Excel, Access), and engineering administration systems.
• Faculty of analysis, evaluation, and decision-making in day-to-day business and emergency situations.
• Individual characteristics: people-oriented, entrepreneurial, straightforward, and sensitive to customer presence and constraints.
