Job Summary

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Consultant to join our team at Ben Khan. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and medical expertise in the field of Nuclear Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Clinical Expertise:
    1. Provide exceptional patient care and medical services in Abdominal Radiology, adhering to approved clinical privileges.
    2. Offer consultation services to inpatients and emergency room patients, responding promptly within the prescribed timeframe.
    3. Ensure timely completion, accuracy, and eligibility of medical records.
    4. Provide on-call services and ensure availability and response time within the prescribed timeframe.
    5. Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
    6. Perform other clinical responsibilities related to Nuclear Medicine, as assigned.
  2. Academic and Research Responsibilities:
    1. Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
    2. Participate in departmental educational activities and training programs.
    3. Engage in national and international medical conferences to maintain and enhance professional knowledge.
    4. Contribute to clinical, basic, and translational research projects to advance knowledge and improve postgraduate education.
  3. Administrative Responsibilities:
    1. Undertake administrative duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
    2. Participate in mandatory departmental activities and serve on departmental and hospital committees.
    3. Assist the department in developing and implementing techniques and practices to maximize resource utilization.
    4. Abide by hospital and medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations, and stay updated on any changes.
    5. Follow hospital-related policies and procedures.
    6. Participate in self-and others' education, training, and development as applicable.
    7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Medical degree, and US Board, or Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian FRCS, or Diplome d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/CIS French Board, or German Facharzt, and
  • Valid and current medical license/registration in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand, and
  • A minimum of 3-4 years post-specialty certification experience in the specialty area in a mid- to large-size hospital in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand.
