About the Role:

As an experienced Emergency Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Your expertise in critical care and ability to think on your feet will enable you to make sound decisions in emergency scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering critical IV medications and assisting in the care of multiple traumas, cardiac arrests, stroke codes, and conscious sedations.
  • Recognizing cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest and applying CPR.
  • Applying triaging systems and assessments to all patients admitting to the emergency room.
  • Providing care to individuals across the lifespan with diverse conditions.
  • Maintaining safe and effective care for patients with varying acuity levels in a time-restricted environment.
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Closely monitoring E.R. patients and alerting Physicians/Charge nurse with any changes in patients' status.
  • Interacting with patients and family members from pain, stress, shock, or grief.
