Job Overview

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is seeking a Senior Social Safeguards Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the social safeguards unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the Bank's operations adhere to the highest standards of social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of strategic policies and plans related to social safeguards and benefits within the Women & Youth Empowerment and civil society engagement practices.
  • Lead Communities of Practice (CoP) relevant to ESS and other social issues, providing intellectual leadership on positioning the Global Practice internally and externally.
  • Provide advice and guidance on major or sensitive matters relating to social impacts and risks during implementation.
  • Design adequate mitigation measures to address the negative social impact of the Bank's interventions.
