About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic - CH-47 to join our team at NANA Regional Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, removal, installation, replacement of, scheduled/unscheduled inspections, and operational checks on aircraft systems, subsystems, and major components.
Key Responsibilities- Aircraft Maintenance: Removes, inspects, troubleshoots, and installs aircraft system and subsystem components and subcomponents to include, but not limited to, engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, flight controls, and hydraulics.
- Scheduled/Unscheduled Maintenance: Performs schedule/unscheduled maintenance activities to include PMS, servicing and lubrication, and MOC/MTF support functions.
- Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools/test equipment, and Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) and Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE).
- Record Keeping: Prepares, reviews, and updates aircraft maintenance forms and records.
- Quality Control: Maintains facilities for storage of returnable and hazardous materials.
- Inventory Management: Requisitions and maintains shop and bench stock for repair of CH-47 systems and subsystems.
- Communication: Ensures that aircraft maintenance activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness (OR) rates IAW contractual requirements.
- Leadership: Oversees the daily maintenance management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Maintenance Lead, in conjunction with Aviation Logistics for related platform parts and spares.
- Training and Development: Provides On-the-Job Training (OJT), coaching, and mentoring to RSLFAC personnel in all aspects of aircraft powertrain tasks as necessary.
- Safety: Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.
- Experience: Eight (8) years' experience as an aircraft mechanic on CH-47 series aircraft.
- Training: Successfully completed and be qualified by the appropriate U.S. Government armed forces CH-47 aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent training.
- Skills: Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms or similar aviation maintenance management system, and other aircraft related documentation.
- Communication: Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen.
