Job Description

The Chief Information Officer at SOES is responsible for overseeing the implementation of technology strategies that drive business growth and improve information accessibility. This senior role requires a deep understanding of ICT principles and project management skills to lead extensive work teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement ICT strategies that support business objectives.
  2. Lead the development of IT projects, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, pilot testing, installation, evaluation, and operational management.
  3. Provide technological guidance and supervision to computer specialists and IT workers.
  4. Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for the information technology department.
Requirements

A first degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is required, with a postgraduate degree or MBA with an ICT focus being an added advantage. Relevant certifications in ICT and project management are also essential.

  1. Not less than 15 years of experience in ICT in large organizations with multiple business portfolios and diversified business activities.
  2. Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience in leading extensive work teams.
  3. Familiarity with business principles and techniques of administration, organization, and management, including an in-depth understanding of key business issues in a multi-business environment.
  4. Knowledge of systems design and development processes, including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, pilot testing, installation, evaluation, and operational management.
