About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Exterior Design Professional to join our dynamic global design team at Polaris Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative and forward-thinking exterior designs for our powersports vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create fresh and compelling original solutions for exterior designs through research, visual concept exploration, and 3D execution.
  2. Present concepts and ideas to peers and management, participating in weekly design critique meetings.
  3. Collaborate with Engineering to lead design-for-manufacturing practices and deliver advanced design solutions.
  4. Develop and lead visual-brand characteristics, design elements, and form language.
  5. Interpret industry trends and insights into actionable storytelling and design solutions.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in design (Automotive Design, Transportation Design, Industrial Design).
  2. 5+ years of professional experience in a design-related field, preferably in automotive or powersports.
  3. Proficiency in Blender and/or Gravity experience in VR/AR environments.
  4. Strong understanding of plastics and casting tools with the ability to adjust designs to manufacturing criteria.
  5. Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  6. Proven creative proficiency and ability to work independently and within a team.
