Mapbox Developer

FalconViz is seeking a highly skilled Mapbox Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Mapbox applications from the ground up.

• Application Development: Design and develop comprehensive and interactive Mapbox applications, utilizing GIS input data from diverse sources.
• Integration and Data Management: Integrate new Mapbox applications with clients' current Mapbox platforms, ensuring seamless data integration and synchronization between systems. Collect, process, and manage GIS input data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within Mapbox applications.
• Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Mapbox and GIS technologies, providing technical guidance and support to junior developers and team members. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Quality Assurance: Implement robust testing procedures to ensure application reliability and performance, conducting regular audits and reviews of the applications to identify and address any issues.

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geospatial Science, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Mapbox development and GIS.
• Technical Skills: Extensive experience with Mapbox GL JS and Mapbox Studio. Proficiency in handling and processing GIS data (e.g., shapefiles, GeoJSON, raster data). Familiarity with backend technologies and frameworks (e.g., Python) is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
