Job Summary

Eram Talent is seeking a skilled Island Buggy Driver to join our client's team in Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our client's transportation services team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer experiences in the tourism industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Services: Operate buggies in a professional manner, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, and providing outstanding customer service.
  • Guest Interaction: Maintain a cheerful, helpful, and friendly attitude towards colleagues, on-island staff, and guests alike, and provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with passengers, staff, and management to provide seamless service.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle any passenger complaints or issues in a professional manner.
  • Assistance: Provide guests with assistance with luggage, baby strollers, etc., ensuring it is handled with care.
  • Porter/Baggage Handling: Perform porter/baggage handling duties as required, including the movement of baggage from luggage ferry to/from Assets, securing luggage inside cargo areas, and delivering unclaimed or lost luggage to the correct asset or guest.
  • Buggy Maintenance: Maintain a valid buggy-driving license, and operate the buggy in accordance with all local laws and regulations, as well as Island policies.
  • Record Keeping: Record usage of buggies as required, ensuring close communication with the dispatcher and Site Supervisor.
  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the buggy is in good working order.
  • Safety: Follow all safety rules when driving the buggy and drive with utmost care, ensuring passenger and guest safety.
  • Flexibility: Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Be prepared to work for long periods of time exposed to heat.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Ideally 5 years of experience driving a vehicle of a similar class.
  • Guest Services Experience: Experience in a similar role and/or within guest services at a major hotel group/hotel management company is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
  • Stress Management: Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  • Physical Ability: Physical ability to help passengers load and unload luggage, handling up to at least 30kg.
  • Weather Conditions: Ability to operate the vehicle in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
  • First Aid: Skilled in providing immediate first aid treatment in case of any injury or illness.
