Overview

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead the accounting function in our Regional Headquarters located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local GAAP, laws, and regulations.

This role will collaborate closely with our Accounting, Treasury, and Tax teams in the United States and with our offices located in the Middle East and African regions to ensure proper accounting operations, management reporting, and external reporting activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Month and Year-End Close Process: Ownership of the month and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements and compliance with local GAAP, laws, and regulations.
  • Financial Transactions and Reporting: Ensure quality control over financial transactions, financial reporting, and monthly allocations.
  • Local Treasury and Tax Activities: Support local treasury and tax activities to ensure adherence to local compliance requirements.
  • Accounting Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Collaboration with Corporate Finance: Collaborate with the Corporate Finance team on a regular basis to communicate events and transactions that may impact results and forecasts including short-range outlooks, annual, and long-range plan development processes.
  • Support Operational Areas: Support operational areas that have a direct impact on international accounting activities such as AP, Assets, and other accounting transactional functions for entities under assigned responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Progressive Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience and at least 3+ years of management experience.
  • Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS): Strong knowledge of SOCPA and IFRS, and financial consolidation.
  • Regular Accounting Practices: Proficient with regular accounting practices and the ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent Arabic and English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex accounting issues to various levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant or Equivalent: Certified Public Accountant or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Excel and Large ERP Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and large ERP systems, preferably SAP.
