Restaurant Host

The Restaurant Host is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in the assigned outlet, ensuring a courteous, professional, and efficient experience consistent with Kempinski's high standards.

1. Assist the Assistant Restaurant Manager/Restaurant Manager in ensuring seamless service delivery.
2. Report to duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform, clean and well-pressed, and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
3. Provide a courteous, professional, and efficient service to guests at all times.
4. Perform all duties and tasks as required by the outlet.
5. Be knowledgeable about all services and products offered by the hotel.
6. Have a thorough understanding of all food and beverage items offered by the department assigned.
7. Upsell and offer alternatives to guests, ensuring a positive experience.
8. Monitor operating supplies, equipment, and reduce spoilage and wastage successfully.
9. Ensure the workplace and surrounding area are clean and organized at all times.
10. Perform opening and closing procedures for the assigned outlet.
11. Handle guest inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints and feedback to supervisors.
12. Report guest complaints immediately to supervisors and ensure follow-up with guests.
13. Operate the existing POS system based on trained responsibility levels.
14. Adhere to hotel policies, including fire, hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
15. Maintain a good rapport and work relationship with staff in the assigned department and within the hotel.
16. Attend and contribute to staff meetings, departmental trainings, and hotel-initiated trainings.
17. Undertake reasonable tasks and secondary duties assigned by the Department Head.
18. Respond to changes in the department as dictated by hotel management.
19. Assist with scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
20. Perform other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities.
21. Project a positive and motivated attitude, exercising self-control.
22. Maintain and update the restaurants' guest history.
23. Maintain a legible and up-to-date reservation book.
24. Maintain and coordinate the printing of restaurant menus.
25. Maintain excellent communication with related departments.
