Refractory Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Refractory Supervisor to join our team at AL ITTEFAQ STEEL PRODUCTS CO. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising refractory repair in our steel plant, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness in all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Refractory Health Monitoring: Monitor the health of refractory materials in our DC-EAF, ladles, and tundishes to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
• Refractory Maintenance: Supervise and execute all refractory maintenance jobs in our DC-EAF, ladles, and tundishes, including cold repair, bottom change, relining, and mid-repair.
• Ladle Preparation: Monitor and oversee ladle preparation related jobs, including tapping ladle planning, to ensure smooth operations.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit daily reports, shift reports, EAF and ladle erosion profiles, and incident reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Inventory Management: Manage refractory inventory and make reservations and PRs in our SAP (MM module) system.
• Quality Control: Participate in quality control initiatives, including QC, 5S, FMEA, and Green Belt projects, to ensure high-quality operations.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with organizational HS&E policies and attend safety training to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience as a refractory supervisor in a steel plant.
• Diploma or graduate degree in any discipline.
• Strong knowledge of refractory materials and their applications.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment.
