About This Opportunity
We are seeking an accomplished Banquet Captain to join our team and lead the way in delivering exceptional events for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and events, including equipment and food delivery, to ensure seamless execution.
- Lead the setup and execution of resort events, guaranteeing timely and precise execution.
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage to develop and implement customized event experiences that meet client expectations.
- Manage event staff and oversee the successful execution of events.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of upcoming events, including schedules, locations, and guest counts.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with banquet staff regarding event details and changes.
- Set up function areas according to client specifications and departmental standards.
- Partner with the Event Management team to coordinate event details and ensure a seamless experience for clients.
- Assist with setting up audio/visual equipment and breakdown function areas according to procedure.
- Conduct thorough inspections of event spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to client requirements.
- Support other departments as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role at a luxury hospitality property.
- Educational background: high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on teamwork, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction.
