Our client, a prestigious organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Environmental Supervisor II to join their team.

Job Purpose: The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all activities within the organization are executed in accordance with the Integrated Management System requirements and assist in facilitating ongoing regulatory compliance with all applicable legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements and obligations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop, establish, and ensure effective and efficient implementation of Environmental regulation, procedures, and standards relating to Zones Activities.
  • Provide comprehensive regulatory and technical expertise to develop and implement major environmental programs.
  • Develop strategies for managing complex or sensitive environmental issues related to specific zones operation, business, and corporate initiatives in all compliance and responsible environmental management areas pertinent to Zones Activities.
  • Provide environmental expertise, guidance, and support to zones to assist in maintaining regulatory compliance and achieving environmental objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate implementation plans and provide follow-up support.
  • Sustainability & ESG report.
  • Fulfill the requirement of NCEC and MWAN Regulation to ensure the integrated management system is in place.
  • Fulfill the requirement of ISO14001 standards to ensure the integrated management system is in place.
  • Lead risk assessments and task reviews of key activities in the zones to identify and prevent probable environmental hazards leading to significant losses.

Education & Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biological Science, Environmental Management, or Science.
  • Attained or working towards obtaining the NEBOSH Diploma in Environment.
  • Attained or working towards obtaining the international membership in Environment.

Competencies:

  • Thorough knowledge of local and international standards for Environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and work with people.
  • Self-motivated, critical thinker, tenacious, and curious.
  • Ability to identify and fully understand the potential environmental compliance and remediation liabilities associated with acquisition and divestitures with the ability to quantify risks.
  • Excellent Leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Stakeholder Management.
  • Environmental Planning (including Compliance Planning, Strategy, and Execution).
  • Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.

Experience:

Minimum experience of 3-9 years in an Environmental field in the following areas: permitting, environmental regulatory compliance (air, water, soil, waste), assessment of environmental impact, site investigations and field surveys, source monitoring, and monitoring of the ambient environment.
