Maintenance Engineer, Reliability Maintenance Engineering

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team as a Reliability Maintenance Engineer. The primary focus of this role is ensuring compliance with safety regulations and policies, conducting preventative maintenance on time, and providing high equipment availability through continuous improvement.

This position includes working in non-traditional shift patterns, which may include nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement health & safety best practices in all work carried out, ensuring compliance with health & safety standards and regulations.
  • Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for facility assets, including material handling and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting relay logic, ladder diagrams, controls components, sensors & scanners, motor starters, relays, limit switches, electronic sensors, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, sorters, and mechanical components (rolls, bearing, belts).
  • Serve as an ambassador for safety within the team and promote safe working practices across the site.
  • Manage day-to-day engineering and soft services, including housekeeping and upkeep of premises.
  • Oversee EHS and statutory compliance of the facility, including waste management and hazardous waste management according to bylaws, timely renewal of licenses.
  • Built strong relationships across all levels in the organization.
  • Enhance individual performance through enriched feedback.
  • Prioritize and manage resources under pressure.
  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including conveyor system maintenance, supervise maintenance work and sub-contractors, ensure implementation of facility systems checks through computerized maintenance management system. Provide technical guidance for MHE and BB maintenance.
  • Support technicians by motivating, providing knowledge, and hands-on experience.
Requirements
  • Work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Experience in functional maintenance in a reliability-centered maintenance environment.
  • Familiarity with diverse MHS, industrial mechanical and electrical systems, and automation, controls, and robotics systems.
  • 3+ years of maintenance planner/scheduler experience in an industrial maintenance complex, manufacturing/distribution industries, or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or automation engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • In-depth understanding of facility maintenance and facility management systems, tools, and procedures.
