About the RoleJob SummaryThis senior-level role involves overseeing all aspects of laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pathology and experience managing accredited laboratories.
Duties and Responsibilities- Verify that IQC results are acceptable before patient testing, and follow up on any trends in patient results that may reflect machine or specific analyte problems.
- On a weekly basis, check QC charts for presence of shifts or trends in QC, and review monthly QC and maintenance of analyzers and temperature records.
- Evaluate RIQAS and CAP results (if applicable), and recommend corrective action in case of unacceptable results.
- Qualification: PhD, MD, or Masters in Clinical and Chemical Pathology.
- Professional Experience: Good experience in managing accredited laboratories as decided by management.
- Recognized license as per ministry's requirement defined for the respective location.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory best practices, safety protocols, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in laboratory software and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate a diverse team.
