Job Overview

Job Purpose: As a key member of our team at Asterix Communications, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our electrical systems by performing thorough testing and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Testing and Reporting:
    1. Conducting comprehensive tests on electrical equipment and systems to ensure they meet our quality standards.
    2. Preparing detailed test reports, including updates and corrections, to facilitate informed decision-making.
    3. Performing functional testing to verify the correct operation of electrical systems.
  2. Quality Assurance and Troubleshooting:
    1. Identifying and reporting nonconformities and troubleshooting electrical issues to ensure prompt resolution.
    2. Managing punch lists during factory testing and site commissioning to ensure seamless execution.
  3. Coordination and Customer Inspection:
    1. Coordinating testing activities during customer inspections to ensure a positive experience.
  4. Technical Support and Issue Resolution:
    1. Providing technical expertise by reviewing design documents before release to ensure accuracy.
    2. Resolving technical issues during factory testing and site commissioning to minimize downtime.
  5. Continuous Improvement and Record Maintenance:
    1. Initiating continuous improvement efforts and maintaining records in consultation with our department manager to drive excellence.
    2. Initiating corrective and preventive actions and maintaining records in consultation with our department manager to ensure quality.
  6. Site Testing and Commissioning:
    1. Executing site testing and commissioning activities to ensure electrical systems are installed and functioning correctly.
Role Accountability
  1. HR Proficiency:
    1. Training and developing subordinates to ensure effective team performance.
    2. Providing leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
    3. Delegating tasks to subordinates to ensure fair distribution and maintain morale.
    4. Ensuring fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates.
  2. Delivery:
    1. Performing planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
    2. Utilizing resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
    3. Providing periodic reports detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
  3. Problem-Solving:
    1. Resolving any related problems and escalating any complex operational issues to ensure prompt resolution.
  4. Quality:
    1. Ensuring quality requirements to develop effective quality control processes, including specifications for products or processes.
  5. Business Process Improvements:
    1. Coordinating well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seeking automation opportunities to drive efficiency.
  6. Compliance:
    1. Complying with related policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure regulatory adherence.
Academic Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
