Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostics and Consultation: Provide expert diagnostic and consultative services to physicians and patients, adhering to granted privileges.
  • Test Selection: Assist in developing methodologies for selecting appropriate tests and evaluating their clinical relevance.
  • Staff Development: Participate in training programs for staff, students, interns, and residents, and engage in ongoing education for medical professionals.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute actively to maintaining and enhancing quality improvement initiatives within the hospital and departmental committees.
  • Research and Development: Encourage and participate in approved research activities that advance knowledge in the field of hematological pathology.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited medical school is essential.
  • Certification: Current certification from the American Board or equivalent institution in hematological pathology is mandatory.
  • Experience: At least two years' experience in a CAP-accredited laboratory following Board Certification is required.
  • Languages: Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate level of computer proficiency is expected.
