**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Amman, Jordan/Saudi Arabia. As Head of Legal for our AMEA business unit, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on all matters related to engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience working in-house or at a law firm, dealing with the construction and utility industry, engineering, or manufacturing. You will work closely with our management team, internal clients, engineers, technical teams, and commercial management to ensure compliance with our policies and governance rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research, advise, prepare, draft, review, comment, and/or negotiate complex contractual documents and other relevant legal documentation for local or international EPC projects.
  2. Provide legal advice and opinions on risks and related commercial issues analysis.
  3. Liaise with insurance brokers and underwriters to review insurance policies for the Middle East in conjunction with the parent company insurance department in Montreal.
  4. Manage and administer the Middle East insurance portfolio, including but not limited to general liability, directors insurance, environmental coverage, professional indemnity, and construction all-risk policies.
  5. Manage a lawyer in India, who is in charge of the Asia-Pacific portfolio.
  6. Participate in the review and negotiation process of various tenders and contracts with clients and also have experience of negotiating and finalizing MOUs, NDAs, consortium agreements, joint ventures, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  7. Provide inputs on legal and commercial issues along with mitigations in the Tenders and Contracts being bid by the corporation/company and present them before the Global Management Team.
  8. Liaise with other corporate functions (Tax, Treasury, Insurance, Company Secretary, Integrity) to ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.
  9. Interpret laws, decrees, and any other document of a legal nature, ensuring that the interests of the corporation are adequately protected.
  10. Participate in the application and follow-up of the corporations'/company's policies, procedures, and internal rules.
  11. Handle Secretarial compliance in close coordination with external consultants.
  12. Support the country integrity officer in integrity matters, and integrity training of Linxon employees.
