Job Description

The Senior Operations Executive supports Conference Operations Managers on the operational delivery of allocated events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.

This role requires a highly organised, self-motivated, and efficient individual who can work under their own initiative to meet deadlines and targets while maintaining operational process synergy across various EMEA event verticals.

  • Delivery of various tasks, allocated by Operations Managers, in support of running exhibitions across EMEA.
  • Create and maintain show-specific project plans for review and sign-off by Operations Managers.
  • Create and issue purchase orders upon request, updating budget and invoice trackers accordingly.
  • Manage floor plans, exhibitor queries, and catering requirements.
  • Design and produce simpler system-built feature areas.
  • Deliver operational sponsorship deliverables, coordinating with sales teams where necessary.
  • Coordinate temporary staff, producing show briefs and giving onsite inductions.
  • Day-to-day liaison with internal Event teams, venues, contractors, suppliers, and exhibitors.
  • Compile post-event reports and analysis through data collation and recording.
Requirements

We seek a candidate with independently managed operations on multiple large events to a high standard. Experience in managing line reports, working knowledge of the exhibition industry, and good communication skills are essential.

A proven ability to work under pressure, anticipate problems, and implement contingency plans is required. Familiarity with good procurement practices and excellent interpersonal skills are also necessary.

Computer literacy and proficiency in business software, project management tools, and effective written and verbal English are key qualifications. An IOSH Managing Safety Certificate (or equivalent) is a minimum requirement.
