Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Specialist to oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems for large-scale construction projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the installation, commissioning, and operation of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and building management systems.
  • Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and civil teams to ensure integrated MEP systems are effectively designed and executed.
  • Review mechanical designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and project requirements.
  • Oversight of MEP works on-site and ensuring timely delivery of systems.
  • Leading testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring they are fully functional before handover.
  • Monitoring subcontractor performance and ensuring quality control in all mechanical installations.
  • Performing technical assessments and resolving any issues related to mechanical systems.
  • Collaboration with project managers to ensure the project progresses within budget and schedule.
  • Preparing material submittals, technical documentation, and RFIs.
  • Maintaining high safety standards and ensuring compliance with HSE regulations on-site.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech).
  • 7-12 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a strong focus on mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, etc.).
  • Prior experience working in the Gulf region, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is preferred.
  • Expertise in local building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., SASO, SEC, NFPA).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software for MEP systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting systems, and other mechanical engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
