Job Title: Gastroenterology Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Specialist to join our team at the National Blood and Cancer Center. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and gastrointestinal cancers.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and sigmoidoscopies.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging studies, and stool analyses.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with other medical specialists to coordinate multidisciplinary care for complex cases.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient encounters.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency program in internal medicine.
  • Completion of a fellowship program in gastroenterology.
  • Board certification in gastroenterology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as a gastroenterologist.
  • 10 years' experience as a consultant and 5 years working in Saudi hospitals with a valid SCHS license.
  • Continuous medical education and participation in professional development activities.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and quality improvement initiatives.
