About the Role:
The successful candidate will maintain the strategic plan for Health and Safety that aligns with client priorities based on industry best practice. Key responsibilities include enforcing all policies relating to H&S practices in the workplace, supporting delivery of HSE training, and providing information, technical advice, and support to all Project staff relating to HSE.

Responsibilities:
  1. Maintains the strategic plan for Health and Safety that aligns with client priorities based on industry best practice.
  2. Supports delivery of HSE training to members of the FM service provider team.
  3. Provides information, technical advice, and support to all Project staff relating to HSE, including KSA legislation, standards, and international codes of practice etc.
  4. Enforces all policies relating to H&S practices in the workplace.
  5. Assists in developing H&S processes and ensures effective and appropriate implementation.
  6. Reviews risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for various activities (including Fit out activities).
  7. Identifies hazards and implementing control measures to mitigate risks.
  8. Maintains a register of risk assessments and ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.
  9. Manages project consultants, ADHOC, and fit-out activities with the discharge of their respective HSE obligations - monitors and reports on their performance.
  10. Conducts regular workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  11. Follows up on inspection findings and ensures corrective actions are implemented.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent international safety qualification).
    • Valid certification in Fire Fighting.
  • Desirable:
    • Diploma/Certification in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (e.g., ISO 45001).
    • Membership with a recognized professional safety organization (e.g., IOSH, ASSP).
    • Advanced certifications in specific areas like fire safety, risk assessment, or environmental management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Health & Safety Officer in a relevant operational environment.
  • Experience working in Saudi Arabia is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE programs.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.

Work Environment:

  • On-site – Riyadh, SAU
