Job Summary

The Lead Earthwork Construction Specialist will be responsible for leading and managing earthwork projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires strong knowledge of earthwork techniques, including excavation, backfilling, grading, and foundation creation. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, ability to coordinate activities between various stakeholders, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and organize all activities related to earthwork to ensure the project is completed on time.
  2. Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and prevent delays.
  3. Monitor project expenses and ensure the project stays within allocated budget.
  4. Ensure earthwork activities are carried out according to engineering specifications and standards.
  5. Provide regular progress reports, highlight potential issues, and propose solutions for timely resolution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience managing earthwork construction projects, preferably in large-scale construction projects within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of earthwork techniques including excavation, backfilling, grading, and foundation creation.
  • Ability to lead teams and coordinate activities between various stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills in diverse and challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with earthwork projects in industrial or commercial sectors.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
