Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Pause Experience Company, PAUSEAWAY (R). As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal working condition of our premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage maintenance schedules and coordinate with service providers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Oversee maintenance department inventory management and facility management.
  • Monitor usage of tools and equipment and ensure they are readily available for assigned tasks.
  • Assign tasks to workers, coordinate, and ensure completion of work.
  • Provide assistance to managers and colleagues, especially in the areas of completing work orders assigned to Maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a similar position for at least 3 years.
  • High school diploma.
  • Excellent English language; Arabic is a plus.
  • Computer literate in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and listening skills.
  • Self-motivated and creative problem-solver.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team setting.

Electrical and Plumbing:

  • Special focus on electrical and plumbing experience. Trade test or qualification will be a plus.
  • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.
  • Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the guest units or retreat's electricity.

Carpentry and Construction:

  • Special focus on modular construction and carpentry experience. Trade test or qualification will be a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.).
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings.

General:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with employees or guests of the property in a pleasant manner.
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
  • Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building.
