About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Counsel to join our team at Air Products. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's legal strategy and providing expert guidance on complex legal matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Legal Leadership: Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and the Board of Directors on all aspects of the business, including litigation, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of lawyers and support staff, providing guidance and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
  • External Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with external counsel, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Business Acumen: Develop a deep understanding of the company's business operations and provide expert legal advice to support business growth and development.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in a senior legal role, preferably in the energy or industrial sector.
  • Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree or equivalent, passed the applicable bar exam, and able to practice law in areas of responsibility.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong business acumen, and exceptional leadership and negotiation skills.
