We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Economic Analysis Unit to join our Economic Research and Statistics Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the unit, leading a team of economists and statisticians, and preparing periodic reports and economic forecasts.

About the Role:

  • Lead and supervise the preparation and implementation of the action plan for the Economic Research and Statistics Unit.
  • Prepare and contribute to economic research and working papers.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and enhance work with national central banks and provide technical support and supervision.
  • Daily tasks and technical support as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Setting the strategic direction for the Economic Research and Statistics Unit and leading the work team.
  2. Preparation and conduct of the annual Monetary Council workshops and develop the workshop programme and other details.
  3. Corporate Communication.
  4. Leading and supervising the preparation and drafting of working papers.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Economics.
  • At least 15 years of experience in an international economic organization or in a public sector institution (central banks, ministries, etc.) or in the private sector (commercial banks; regulatory/supervisory bodies or similar regulatory bodies).
  • Leadership skills.
  • Collaboration and corporate communication internally and externally.
